I waited until the last week to send in for the barrel sale. USPS priority mailed a receiver (in a free USPS video tape box) on 9-27. They invoiced my order on 10-10, and shipped 10-14. I got it 10-19. I can't complain about two weeks plus shipping time for the pile of discounted barrels I bought. Either they have more gunsmiths or they are selling fewer barrels than a couple of years ago.
The only problem with my large order was only getting one of two 357 barrels. The first line on my order form was two 30-30 barrels, the smith circled it and made sure he fitted two. Farther down the list, I had two 357 barrels. He didn't catch that one. Moral of the story is that if you do something goofy like that, put it at the top of the order form so they see it first thing. I called H&R, and Gordon said "no problem, just send the receiver back in when you won't be needing it for a while". I also could have gotten a refund with no hassle.
Gordon says they still have about 40 of those 100 .357 barrels that they ordered because we were whining about the .357 being discontinued. They sold a couple dozen in a hurry, then the orders slowed down a lot. I should have suggested that they'd sell more .357 barrels if they were listed on the barrel accessory page. Probably only the guys on internet forums know to ask for .357 barrels.
