Thanks Tim.
I love it. But seriously I don't need convincing about the TSX bullets they are simply in a class by it self. My friend and I used the regular Barnes -x in the 340 Wby on elk and moose. We dug out a few bullets which look just like the ones in the above picture.
A lot of times you don't find them like in the 25-06 on deer. With elk you break bones and drop them, it is amazing how far the can go with lung shots never to be found.
They are money well spend in both accuracy and performance. The game deserves a good bullet.
When I think back of my 257Wby and all the bullets failures when bullets blew up on the skin or punched clean through like needle, did I wish then for a bullet like the TSX. Yes the then 120gr or the 115gr Nosler partition were nothing to write home about. The Hornady 100gr was the best you could get, and they were no great shakes with that speed.
Try one of those 600gr Barnes bullets in your 45-70 at 1400 ft/sec when you next go after elk. For big game use big bullets but Barnes bullets don't need to be all that big if you got the speed.
