Procrastination abounds--time for me to dip.
« on: October 18, 2005, 04:19:33 AM »
Just got home from working on stabilizers. It is supposed to be in the mid 70s today, and mid 60s tomorrow.
I am finally going to get my traps dipped---or should I say---try to get them all dipped.
Season opens in 12 days, and I have 3 beaver jobs to do next weekend.
So I am going to try and take advantage of this wonderful weather.
 Dip today,dip tomorrow.
Order steel today for more stabilizers, then this weekend will be stabilizer making with some troublesome beavers thrown into the mix.
I sure wish october was 3 months long.
Is everyone else all ready to go?
 Tom

#11's and 1.5cs are waxed and attatched to short stake and 12ft of 12g wire for coons.

lil griz's are painted white and ready...

mb750's are waxed and ready...220's and 330's are ready with 3ft cable and wooden stake....

rat floats are ready as always...cane stakes are cut...

now the serious scouting begins....we need some RAIN to simplify this...

Don't feel bad, Tom. just dipped all of mine this past Saturday...something I was planning on doing over the summer. Oh well, at least they are done, right?

Bog   I have 22 dozen all total still in the boxes.I haven't done anything with them.I've been guiding Pheasant hunters and I'm going Elk hunting for 8 days Thursday. Will have to get the Elk killed early so I can work on traps. It's 16 degrees here this morning.
I love the smell of coyote gland lure early in the morning. It smells like victory!!
