I have been seriously thinking about getting a single action revolver and have narrowed it down to three:

EMI Hartford
Uberti-Cattleman
Cimarron-“P”

Now the dilemma, they are all 1873 models made by Uberti.  The Cattlemen and Hartford are about the same price at around $385.  Now for the Model “P”, Cimarron sell it for about $100 bucks more and says theirs is better but cant say why except that they impose tighter quality restrictions on Uberti.

So what the general consensus on the three?

Thanks, Tom

I've heard cimarrons finish is a little nicer but I'd get a Stampede which kicks all their butts!

timothy, did you know that Uberti makes the stampede!  I like it, but wanted to stay with the traditional 1873.

Yes sir, Uberti also makes the Cimmarons. If you want that fourth click and firing pin the stampede doesnt have em. I dont mind personally I love the finish and feel. And remember even a colt isnt a Colt.
