:D Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has any favorite loading data for the 375 H&H? I'd like to find information on the 235 grain, 270 grain and 300 grain bullets. I'm looking for a load for deer/elk/moose and hopefully a load for eland, sable or kudu to use next year. I've got a couple of manuals on order but I'd like to get recommendations or observations from those of you who've used your loads on game and if you were happy with their performance or not. I've read that some load the 270 grain Hornday for practice and then load the 270 grain Swift A-Frame for all around hunting. I'm trying to build a good foundation of information for loading this grand old cartridge! Thanks! CEJ...

I have a friend here in AZ who uses the .375 for just about everything. While I don't know his specific load data, he likes to use big bullets going relatively slow for smaller game like deer. The lighter, full-power loads tear them up too much. You may also consider something like a 335gr cast with a fast-burning powder; it's about 1900fps, and is a real pleasure to shoot. Sorry I couldn't be more help; I'm wanting a .375 in fhe future, but got debts to pay off first.  :roll:  Anyway, good luck! The .375 sounds like a great all-around rifle.  8)

Powder: 78.7 grains of IMR-4350          
Primer: Remington 9-1/2 M        
Case: Winchester          
Firearm: Ruger No. 1          
Optics: Leupold 2x7
Velocity: 2596 FPS @ 15' from muzzle
Accuracy: 3-shots, 100-yards ~1.0"

Loads that worked in "X-Lax"

.375 H&H Data:
             
                      270Hornady  COL 3.750  66.5grains IMR4064

                      300Round Nose  COL 3.61  62.5grains IMR4064

                      300Sierra SP COL  3.765  64.5grain IMR4895

These all shot well in my old Remington "X-Lax" rifle. Cartridges over 3.6" COL might not feed from your magazine and will have to loaded singlely.

"X-Lax" was the nickname for my custom Shilen barreled Remington because it onlt weighed seven pounds with a scope and it could really knock the crap out of you if you didn't  hold it right.
