hello;

new handi, 223 cal. @half the time a fired case wants to stick in chamber. is it a problem to take a case that has stuck, put j.b. cleaning compound on the case and spin the case in the chamber? thanks for any input. just want to make sure.

hi tim;

thanks for heading me in the right direction. did spin a dry case and it's clear where the problem areas are, just above the base and just below the shoulder of the case. put on some cleaning compound and now the chamber has rings @ where the high spots are. i guess i'm just (i assume - yep we know what assume means) polishing the these problems areas, thus the rings.

That is how I have done it. Knocked out the primer put a sheet metal screw in the flash hole. Put the polishing compound on the shell and used a variable speed drill motor, tat way you can control the speed. Away it has worked on a 22 hornet, 223, and a 357. Wouldn't think you would have to on the 357 but I had to.

I used a .458 cal mop with Simichrome Paste Metal Polish Midway was out of Flitz worked great.

Just remember to clean to the barrel really well before shooting again.
