Browning needs to step up to the plate
« on: November 06, 2005, 02:15:56 PM »
I watch quite a few hunting shows, all sponsored by different gun companies etc.... Never see anything about Browning.  I see CZ, Thompson, Remington, Beretta etc... but no Browning.

I wonder why they don't get on board . . . maybe they are happy with their market share.   But as much as I like my Stainless Stalker in 7m-08 and my buddy his S.S in 280 I don't understand why more people don't shoot these fine rifles.

Long

I grew up reading Outdoor Life magazine and I remember Jim Zumbo had an old beat up Winchester Mod 70 in 30/06 that he hunted with and used until Chuck Yeager presented him with a 300 Weatherby.....now he is using Remingtons because they sponsor his TV show.

Jackie Bushman used to use a RH Ruger when he first went on TV now uses a LH Remington...ditto on the sponsorship.

The TC Encore is everywhere now on TV.  They must be paying a premium to get so many to convert.

The advertising hype must be working but I'm not fooled by it.  I sold my Encore and will hang onto my Savage and Browning.

Was nothing on TV tonight while I was waiting for Category 7 End of the World to come on CBS. So I flipped over to watch The Outdoor Channel. Dave Watson was hosting the Bushnell show and what rifle was used? Browning. I've actually seen them in use on a bunch of shows.

But clearly TC is the big money gun company followed by Remington. No doubt about that.
