This is a 3-30/30 improved with the shoulder moved forward slightly.  This guy uses 288 grain lyman  cast HP  bullets in a 10" contender barrel for 1400-1500 fps. Says he gets food expansion.   An interesting read if you like the idea of a .35 cal lever action.
