SB2 Centerfire Question
« on: October 27, 2005, 11:56:33 PM »
I know what the website says, but I want to hear from some of you guys who swap barrels frequently.

The reciever on  new centerfire rifles & 10 Gauge shotguns is an SB2, and the 12 Gauge & smaller gauges use the SB1. Has anyone ever fitted a centerfire rifle barrel to a SB2 10 Gauge frame?

I haven't tried it but from just looking at it the 10 ga is too big. If it is important I will try it for you.

Careful.

The strength of the SB2 shotgun receiver may be different than the strength of the SB2 rifle receiver.  You may be okay if you keep the pressure and total back thrust at the same levels as the 10 guage.
