« on: October 31, 2005, 02:57:17 AM »
I just checked the weather for our S. TX opener this weekend.   Looks like a good day for golf.     Tracking snow does not appear in the forecast.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low near 61.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high around 84.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 61.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high around 79.

:D Sure is nice to hunt in a long sleeved camo t-shirt (and it's too hot), but you sure have to get your animal dressed and in the cooler in a hurry.

I sat in a tree stand for a few hours yesterday afternoon, I watched 20-25 deer in one herd, nothing I wanted to shoot came with-in bow range, but I saw a couple of respectable bucks with-in rifle range.

The Abilene area is scheduled for 80 degree weather Saturday.  Hummm, I wonder if I can get some air conditioning in my deer blind before opening day............ :D  :D  :D
