Just another quick tip. If bullets are crimped, or tight in the neck....Push it first! Take a coin or flat object and put it between the die and the tip of the bullet and push it 1/8 inch. This will break the bond and it will then pull out a lot easier.
No kidding?
I'm still in recovery from surgery, and I have been banned by my wife and mother (ya think I'm going to argue with two women?!?!) from the reloading shop until I'm off painkillers. But, there is about 100 .30-30 rounds out there that I made that need to be checked for weight (powder drop problems caused fluctuating loads) and possibly pull apart.
This really works? I use a Lee taper crimp. Does your trick damage/roll the mouth of the case downward, and is the case still fairly useable?
This sounds like a great idea. Please let me know.
