alright MtJerry, I was going to leave you in suspense here with this one.... But I know enquiring minds want to know.

We were hunting late Sunday afternoon... I was ridin shotgun along the wheat fields and the Tiber Dam area... this is pretty much prairie and farm land mixed.

The mulie doe was bedded in some prairie grass on the other side of the fence approx 150 yards or more.  All that could be seen was her neck and head with those large radar like ears that mule deer have.  I told my son, to put the cross hairs right on her head.  At the time of the shot, she turned and then bounded upward and then right back down.

Mulie Doe taking a bow, or saying to kiss my mulie butt.

My son climbed back into the truck, and we drove to where she had been, only to find her like you see in the picture above.  I took two pictures and then after everyone was done laughing started to approach her.  Well she must have been knocked flat out, as she got up with a very dazed appearance.  My son just leveled the .243 Win and got a heart shot and put her down for good.

Sorry to leave you wondering Jerry, but I just couldn't keep it up any longer.  But who can say they have had a deer take a bow before?  Or was she trying to tell my son something?  :-D

Here is my son walking up a shallow coolie.

Guy's even though I lost my Montana hunting license on Saturday, we still had a great time of it.  I can get a replacement of my license.  This was my son's second deer as he got buck fever last year and blew his shot.  I have had many a deer.... but most important is the memories created with my son... there priceless.

Yep its a TP ring or even a lodge,i have found many of these in the badlands area around Seiko,I found an encampment with 22 TP rings,1 large lodge and several fire pits still intact,it is neat to see them undesturbed in those remote areas where they wernt plowed under.

Thanks to the Montanan and to all else who contributed, especially the Montanan's son who did the shooting, Grat job young fella!!! It's great for an easterner like myself to see those beautiful pictures and get to hear a little of the history of that area, and to actually see pictures of the Tee Pee rings themselves was wonderful....<><....

It's amazing the variety of landscape we have here in America.  I've been to several countries overseas when I was in the service, and they're nice, but why leave the states just to see something different.  We have it all here right at home.

What is a great feeling is that the teepee/lodge rings and the fire rings will never be plowed over as they are on government land.  They are accessable only by permission of the land owner or by horseback to this area from another access point.  The Tiber Dam (lake Elwell) has history to it.

But I'm willing to bet, that those rings will be there long after I'm gone because of where they are at.

Yes, it was great walking through a part of history.
