I shot a WY. goat with an interlock a few yrs back.  I don't recall the velocity now but, he was hit in the juncture of the shoulder and neck.  A loooooooong ways away.  He died on the first shot.

C.B.  I used the same bullet in 257 in 250 Savage last year on deer.  It blew a nice wound channel all the way through on a quartering away shot at 75 yds at about 2900 fps muzzle vel.  The 8 pt buck jumped and dropped to the shot.  I've had many good results with Hornady's "cheap" bullets.  Dropped a colorado mulie at 300 yds with 175 gr from a 7 mag.   Left him laying where he was standing when hit.  Go for it.

CB,
I've used the 100gr RN hornady bullets for a number of years. My other bullet is the 100gr Sierra SP. This year I'm trying the Hornady 100gr SP. I've been loading them with 46gr of H4831sc or H414(I'd have to check on the powder weight). Hope this helps ya some.
