Well I made my way back!  I've got a good job finally!  Missed you guys for the past six months.  Looks like the trouble makers have left also.  I'm looking forward to some Elk hunting next month since I have a bull tag.  I'm shopping for a new rifle too!

:D I have not put one to my lips since 1 May this year.  I had by pass surgery about 14 years ago and quit for several years then started back.  I went to the doctor 1 May for a stomach pain, they did a C scan and found I had an aneurysm just slightly larger than a tennis ball on my aorta.  On 8 May the doctor split me from the sternum to just above the (censored word).  The stomach, liver, blatter, kidney, and intestines were removed to gain access.  Once inside they split the aorta, inserted a mesh tube, stitched it in place, and then replace the removed parts.  My doctor is a hunter, he said "it was kinda like field dressing a deer, but I had to put all the removed parts back in place."

After that experience, and on the advice of my doctor, I decided I don't need a smoke any longer.  I didn't realize how bad a smoker smells until after I had my surgery and a friend stopped by to see me.  I won't say I don't still want one, but I am a bigger man than that piece of paper and a bunch ofdried leaves.  Sides, with all the money I save I can buy more bullets. :D  :D  :D

I really appreciate the caring concern and the encouragement, I really mean that.
Does that mean I will stop? Well guys I love all but I enjoy smoking and I do it because I want.
I could give and excuse and say I only smoke a pack a day but that is a lame thing to say so I will say pray for me if you wish/will and I still thank all and---
Blessings

:D  :D  :D Help the war effort..........quit smoking.  If all the cigarettes produced in America are shipped to the arab world we can wipe em out in a few years.  That should make milsurp guns and ammo more readily available to.  Hummmm.....sounds good to me. 8)  8)  8)

Just visited the arab world few weeks ago on work.
Man are they hooked on marlboro lights and camel and newport lights.
At times i wonder if tobacco makes the manufacturers into shamans. Heck they are actually paying them to die horribly.
They are so stuck on cigarettes that they would sneak into a five star coffee shop for a few puffs during the month of fasting.

Now boys, this is not an excuse but a history and observation.
I can remember the war years, the declared war years, living on a dairy with my grandfather, grandmother and mother--my dad was in the service.
The folks would sit on the back porch in the evening-daylight savings time-I was all of 2-3-4 yrs. The folks would smoke and drink tha black. My G-daddy rolled his own, no filters, and thump em into the yard. I would pick em up and take a puff off the butts.
My mother knew I smoked before I knew that she knew.
I came to smoking honestly, a culture, something not scorned.
Am I endangering my health? Why sure, just as my weight does, or eating white bread or red meat. Excuse? Well you have to take it the way you want.
Now, when I win the lottery, the first thing i am gonna do is open a cafe, not a restaurant, a cafe. Everbody that smokes can sit inside and drink coffee. Tha folks that don't smoke, don't like smoke, don't want to be around smoke can sit on the porch--north side in winter and south side in summer.
Vengance is mind said the Lord--I said you folks can sit outside.
Blessings

:D Several years ago, when I still smoked, a friend and my self were on our way to Lake FOrk for a week of bass fishing.  We stopped at a restaurant just out of Terrell, TX.  When we walked in I asked the man behind the counter where the smoking section was.  He said any place you like except the table in the hallway leading to the restrooms, that's the smoking area.

He told us, "I own this place, I smoke, and I will smoke where ever I want.  The law says I have to have a No Smoking Area, that's it."

Before leaving, I went back to the restroom, there between the door to the ladies and mens rooms was a neat little table with a No Smoking sign tacked on the wall above it.  I don't guess you would have to worry about cigarette smoke, but damn the odor..........
