Great Day at the range shootin milsurps.

Hello I just thought I would share the results of todays trip to the range. I was shooting my Type 99 Arisaka and a mildly sporterized M96 swedish mauser.

I just love it when old guns shoot good!

Yeah not bad at all Krochus.
I was actually out today shooting my Turk Mauser. Though I wasn't grouping it, I was just blasting away=high powered plinking....it's a good thing. Sometimes these old rifles can really amaze you with what they are capable of.

I agree.  One of my biggest thrills is one or both times each year when I pack up my .303SMLE, my M96 Swedish Mausers and a M98 German Mauser and head for the range with them.  I'm amazed how well these old rascals shoot.  I've got newer and more acurate rifles, but somehow they never give me the joy the old military rifles do.  I was too young for WWII but really love shooting the rifles of that period.  Best wishes.
