First deer with new sidekick
« on: November 07, 2005, 04:13:54 PM »
I took my first deer with my new sidekick this eve, a 3 pt buck. I almost spent $600 for an Encore but it would just be a waste. My sidekick with the 25acp breech plug and 190 gr qt bullets by pr bullets will shoot 1" 100yd groups . What a great rifle . If I buy another muzzleloader it will be another sidekick

:D Congratulation on your deer. I will agree the Huntsman and Sidekick is the best gun on the market...

Hey truckie,  25acp Breech plug...please explain.  I don't know about that.  That's different than the Vari Flame insert for the primer carriers, right?  Where do you get it...will it work with pellets as well as loose powder?

cookieman , the 25acp breechplug is made by precision muzzleloading. It uses a primed 25acp brass inserted into the breech plug as the primer. The great thing about this breech plug is that it has a hex nut design for installing and removing it . This makes removal a snap. Go to prbullet.com for details. I think this item made my sidekick , I would not shoot it without it
