I bought a couple of snap caps for my 223 and was wondering if anyone here has used them? or its a bad idea for use in the Encore. I dont see why not, its a good way for trigger practice

T/C recommends that you never dry fire your gun without them. I don't see how using them can be any problem. I use the A-Zoom snap caps and really like them. I keep one in the chamber at all times when the gun is unloaded.

It is always a good idea to store your guns uncocked. Snap caps allow you to do this. They are also great for dry fire practice, which will make you a better shot.

I had "Never dry fire a gun..." pounded into my head so often when I was a kid, I use snap caps in all of my guns (even the ones that say they can be dry fired).

Thats what I thought too I do use them in my other guns , just wanted to be sure that you could use them in the T/C
