The stock won't be a problem but I seriously doubt if anyone is making the forend other than the standard walnut stained wood or the black synthetic. The Sidekick has a shorter frame and longer forend so the screw hole is in a different place than a Handi, Huntsman, Topper, Pardner, etc;. The Sidekick is only in it's second year and I don't think there is any aftermarket forend that will fit. Customer Service would be the place to ask, but I wouldn't get your hopes up. :(

Go to Gunstocks Inc.  at this link:

I talked to them several months ago. Was interested in one of their maple ones.  They already market semi finished NEF stocks.  They told me that they could duplicate the fore end hole placement if I sent them one.  Let me know how you make out.

If one could put up with carrying the telescoping ramrod in a day pack, the forend to the 45/70 (altered a little with a hasp and paper), makes the huntsman look a lot nicer, and carries neater as well. For me I put in about an hour and a half one afternoon on this project, and I much prefer this arrangement, than what was to me a really clunky, 2x4 chunk of wood hanging off the front of my deer rifle!!!! Since I have always taken my time, second shot is as if the ramrod was still on the gun......
