Bad batch of primers????
« on: November 07, 2005, 03:27:20 PM »
OK here is the story. I bought a type 99 Arisaka sporter, I loaded up some ammo using an unopened package of CCI BR primers.

I wiuld get periodic misfires, some would go off on the second strike some would not. So I replaced the 60 year old striker spring but haven't shot it yet.    Now today I was sighting in my CZ527 using handload from the same batch of primers. 50% misfires most going off on the second strike. No misfires with Wolf ammo.

Deer season starts saturday so I've got to get this problem solved ASAP

My guess........headspace issues..........either size die incorrectly setup or chamber problems.
