The Davide Pedersoli Sharps reproductions enjoy an excellent reputation among competition BPCR shooters and collectors. And up to the recent strong Euro vs US$, they were a lot of gun for the money.
HOWEVER, I strongly second DoggerelPundit's suggestion of having a chamber casting made before purchase.
A number of Italian repro sharps have had quality control problems, including, but not limited to: soft breech blocks, firing pin peening and breakage, etc. A big reason for the chamber cast is to verify that the chamber is not "ringed" or damaged from firing, and that it is the correct chambering as stamped on the barrel. Some shooters have their rifles reamed out to a longer cartridge and then find that it doesn't shoot like they want, or that it kicks too much, etc. Best to know everything about exactly what you are buying!
