i saw a while back a picture of a stainless hawken with a wooden  stock and set triggers.  i was told it was called a silver hawk?  

anyone got the skinny on these?  i have been interested in one for a while,  but they are rare as hen''s teeth.  

any knowlege shared is appreciated.

There are two up for sale on Auction Arms right now. They usually have a starting price of around $200.

Stainless Hawken

During the mid 90's T/C offered their Hawken in a stainless version.
I have only seen one, and yes they seem to be a rare item in the used
market.

Yes...a limited production run called the "Silver Elite"...presentation grade wood for the Hawken stock, no patchbox, stainless furniture, lock, and barrel.

Greyhawk was NOT a Hawken rifle. It had a short round barrel, plastic stock and SS metal. It was the rifle by best friend Billy Doss (now deceased) chose. I don't think he paid $200 for it brand new. It was basically the same as the TreeHawk model except it was camoflaged.

The greyhawk had a 24" bbl and was 1:48 twist.  The treehawk/WMC had a 21" bbl. in either 1:20 or 1:38 twist.  My buddy has one of the silver Hawkins, pretty gun but to be honest, his didn't shoot for beans and we tried a bunch of loadings-I think he just got a bad one.  He went back to his Renegade and is happy.
