A few months ago a good friend and I are doing the Saturday gun shop crawl and we venture into a shop that usually has a good selection of Handi's. My buddy see's a used .223 Ultra with the 24" heavy barrel on the used rack before I do. The gun looks like its never been fired and the price is $199.00.
He says that he believes its time to become a Handi owner. I tell him that if he doesn't buy it for that price, then I will.
He takes the gun up to the counter and as the clerk is getting the paper work together my buddy says, "That wouldn't be your best price, would it?". The clerk tells him to wait a minute and walk's back into the office area. A short time later he returns and says, "How about $179.00?" I just about vapor locked. My buddy looks at me and just grins.
Just ain't right for a rookie to get such a deal.
