Has anyone hunted with this bullet just wondered how they would perform on coyote and crow and other small varmints. will they expand, blow up, or just shoot right through?

I have shot a few groundsquirrels with them out of my .222, killed them of course, but they weren't the spectacular inside-out type kills that varmint bullets produce.

I have used them on everything from bumblebees to mule deer. If you do your part, they work just fine.

I use the Sierra 52gr. HPBT at the range in several rifles so I always have a bunch of them in my reloading room. If I'm going out after woodchuck I just grab a handful in whatever caliber I'm going to use. They aren't actually a hunting bullet but on the smaller critters they do a terrific job. Hit bone and it'll often turn a woodchuck inside out. Best wishes.
