Montanan;                                                                                                           I thank you very muchly for the information provided here. I shoot a .30-30 and had read a bit about Hornadys new ammo but had not heard anything else until now. I placed a post in the Medium Bore forum asking if anyone had heard of this but I did not get any positive information. Thanks alot. I want to try this stuff out once it come available. I imagine it will cost a pretty penny though...............................Thanks again......BC

We have only two major gun stores in town, not including Wal-Mart.  Wal-Mart would never stock this anyways.  But I will check with our other two and see.  I may call Sportsman's Warehouse down in Missoula, Mt to find out if they are going to carry it... They are much bigger too, and I need a trip to my toy store  :-D

The price varies and I get mine from Cabellas.I use the 350 gr in the 450 it will penetrate 10 one gallon milk jugs of water and on the bears it stops and drops them now.

Midsouth Shooters Supply has got the 30-30 and .35 Remington

At the Cabelas web site, I was not able to locate them.

But at least this is a good start, and IntrepidWizard gave a good report for the 450 Marlin  :cb2:

I cant wait!
I use the hornadys in my 480 and like them quite a bit.
Pmc silverline uses the hornady 350 grain boolits i think so this new one from the ammo guys should be a great round in the old 1895.

Do you suppose that they will be available as components for reloading?

$15.55 a box isn't bad at all. Seems to be about on par with other 35 Rem loads. I guess it could be a perfect choice for 35 Rem fans who sometimes get a shot past 150 yds and want a little extra 'assurance.'

This new ammo has some interesting ballistics. Far as I can tell, the 30-30 is on its way towards 300 savage levels and the 35 Rem looks similar to 356 Winchester factory loads. I am very curious to see how it works.
