Moly coats in cut rifled barrel
« on: November 12, 2005, 02:45:36 PM »
Hi,
I've got a new .38-55 cut rifled barrel and I am wondering if moly coated cast bullets would be suitable?
The rifling is quite sharp with some slight tool marks. I am a bit concerned that it may strip off the coating within the first few inches of travel.
I am thinking of giving them a coat of lube. Is this a good or bad idea?
Your comments would be appreciated.
Regards,
gazz.
