I took it out to my cabin last weekend and ran 54 rounds through it. 20 LE and 34 Remmy 200's. It seems to like both of them just fine.
The LE's have a bit more recoil for sure, glad I put a slip-on Limbsaver pad on it.
At 100 yd it would put 2 at about an inch or less with both loads. Took some shots at 208 yd and was suprised how much the Rems dropped when zeroed at 100, they were down more than 8-9 inchs. 3 shots was still less than 2 in. at that range.
I was out of LE's by then, will have to take more up and try them at the longer range. This was just a "get aquainted" trip, went through more than 300 rounds of ammo Sat. Woke up Sunday still grinnin'. The 223 barrel shoots as good or better, gonna keep an eye out for a 7-30 Waters barrel for it, then it will be ready for most things around there. Not even interested in a 45-70 barrel for the Contender, not enough weight for that round. My NEF is light enough.
