Which pellet for Crosman 1377?
« on: December 18, 2005, 10:19:44 AM »
Hi all, Just bought a Crosman 1377 today and started looking at all the available ammo that is on-line. What do you guy use for general rabbit/squirrel hunting? I found a set of scope mounts om one of the web sites. Does anyone use a scope on theirs? Thanks for all the answers. :D

Most of us who use a scope on the 1377 replace the breech

with a metal one with dovetails. For Hunting a domed pellet gives the best of both accuracy and penatration. come by the crosman forum for a whole list of power and accuracy mods for your new gun.

coyotehunter223,

All three of mine(two 1377’s and one 1322) have been worked over by Jim Giles at Crooked Barn.  More power and the best breach going today.  I use target type wad cutter pellets when punching paper and for pest control around the home where over penetration isn't wanted I now use Predator pellets.  Massive shocking value and I have yet to have one exit larger birds.  For all hunting use I use nothing but Beeman Crow Magnum pellets in all my pellet guns(both rifle and handgun) no matter what the caliber.  Lawdog
