Cow elk falls.......

to a 14 inch Contender in 30/40 Krag.  Load of 45 grains of IMR 4350 and CCI 200, behind a 170 grain Hornady round nose.  Shot at 60 yards behind the shoulder.  Complete penetration.  She just laid down and died.  Very little damaged meat.
