209X45 ENCORE data needed!
« on: November 14, 2005, 05:51:05 AM »
Hey guys
I just purchased a ENCORE 209X45 26" Bbl. I have been shooting KNIGHT 50 calibur inline's for quite some time now and have a surplus of PYRODEX RS on hand.
My question is what loads are working best in your ENCORE 209X45's for whitetail out to 125 yards or so? I was thinking about starting out with the heaviest POWERBELT I could find. Or mabe the HORNADY SST!
Any suggestions is appreciated.

My son shoots a 45 Cal Encore I have. I load it with 2 triple7 pellets and the 195 gr. Barnes Expanders. I also use a 25 ACP with a Small Rifle primer. I am getting 1 to 1 1/2 inch groups at 100 yards. My son took 2 deer last year with that set up. I could not get the 225 gr. power belts to show well.  :D
