ct1929,   I have an Alpen Kodiak in 8 x24 x50 mounted on a 22-250.  I find it to be accurate with repeatable adjustments and very clear and crisp optically.
It does have a smaller than normal field of view and a shorter eye relief, but neither is of great importance on the '250.  For the money, I think they are a much better value than most all of the other "inexpensive" scopes out there.
I got mine from Sportsman Guide after talking with a factory rep out in California.  They WILL stand behind their scopes if necessary.  Hope this helps a little.

I wonder if they will hold up under recoil?
