NEF .22LR Sportster Opinions

Just wondering what the verdict is on the NEF .22 LR Sportster model. I have wanted one for a while and would like to know if they are worth purchasing. Does anyone have one? What is the accuracy like with inexpensive ammo? Any problems/flaws? What can I expect from this rifle?  Looking for all the info I can get.  Thanks in advance!

C.A.P., they are GREAT!!! I have a .22LR, a .22 MAG, and a .17 HMR barrel. They all shoot wonderfully with no problems. I know where there is a .17 Mach2 used and if it's still there when I get there in a couple of days, it will join the others. They are asking $110.00 used. I think they are about $130.00 or so new at Wal Mart (anyone know for sure what the price is for a new .17 Mach2 Sportster at Wal Mart?). Anyway, considering the ordering hassle and the 2 trips of about 80 miles each (round trip) for a total of 160 miles, one trip to order and another to pick it up, with the hour or MORE each with the ordering and again with the pick up process I will just buy it used and walk out the door!!! Buy one, you will love it!!!....<><.... :grin:

Think about this, you don't see many for sale used, those who buy them like them and keep them!!!

Thanks Tim, if that used one is still there when I go by it will leave with me, time and gas equate to money nowadays!!!!....<><.... :grin:

Chief, I have the .22lr and .17 hmr and both shoot really good. My .22 shoots the Federal bulk pak from Wal-Mart really well. It does not shoot Winchester Dynapoints worth a hoot. Other people have reported good results with the Dynapoints. Bought my .22 Sportster at Sports Authority about 6 months or so ago for $79. You won't be disappointed if you get one.

Chief;
  I have a sportster in .22 LR, .22 mag & HB .17 HMR..
  I really like it very well, but for me, if I were to do it again ..I would get the HB for all three rounds..it seems to "hang" better and thus, give me better accuracy..
