.22lr Sportster Availability, Canada.
« on: November 07, 2005, 06:11:26 PM »
Hello my fellow Canucks, and for that matter, my dear American friends, for some time I have been desiring a .22lr NEF Sportster, however, my usual domestic Canadian sources seem to only have the .17 Mach 2 and .17 Hornady magnum version of the Sportster, I have yet to find a Canadian retailer who has the .22 lr version for a REASONABLE price. The Versa Pack is available through Canadian retailers, I might get one of those instead. Anyone have any ideas or leads that I may not be aware of? Thanks in Advance, Fat Tony.

Fat Tony,
This may not be of much use to you, but I was in Kamloops BC in June this year. They had a couple of .22 Sportsters at at the Powder Keg gunshop (250 554 3425).

They are good guys there... I used to hang around the place a lot when I lived in Kamloops.

Dunno what shipping would be from BC to NS, but all I do know is that they had some in 22 when I was there.

Cheers
Kerry

You may want to contact FredM over on the H&R Rifle forum.  He's from Canada and seems well informed and perhaps connected up there.  I don't know if he visits the rimfire area.

Also, there are a couple guys (Mainer & MSPRet) who reguarly contribute, are well informed and from or frequent Maine.  Maybe there's an outside chance they have heard of a location that can help you.  However, I believe they check all the forums so if they have not replied, they may not be able to offer any info.

Good Luck and Welcome.
