Has anyone had any difficulty with this? Specifically the rear objective hitting the bolt when it's thrown?

I also posted this on the optics review forum.

.....This is a problem that occours with some gun/scope combos and usually taller rings will let the bolt clear the rear/ocular eyepiece and work fine.....check with where you got the gun to see if they will trade for some taller rings......or buy some aftermarket rings that are taller....if this doesn't fix the problem you will need to trade for a scope with a smaller rear ocular eyepiece but on modern guns the tall mounts usually always fix the problem.....good luck and good shooting!!!

grouper: If you bought the rifle new and the rings that came with it wont alow the bolt to clear the scope contact Ruger they will trade you for taller rings to allow your scope to be mounted or at least they did mine abt. 2yr ago, hope it helpes. :D   JIM
