Old Unertl scope....
« on: November 22, 2005, 04:18:09 AM »
A couple years ago I wandered into a local gun shop and spied an old (steel tube) Unertl 4x scope with post & crosshair recticle...bought it..
It has about 32mm bells both ends.
Planning on putting it on my next NEF..probably deer or coyote caliber.
At $20, was it a good buy and will it serve as well as some of the new scopes ?

Yes that is a good buy. I would send it to Bill Ackerman 505 589 3833
oscscope@aol.com and have it gone over and resealed. This is as good a scope as you can buy. But it may be just ok the way it is?

I spotted one at a gun show not long ago. It was also a 4x and was in very  poor shape they had a $400.00 price on it so I would say you did real good. I got lucky and one was already one my 22-250 rem a 15x Unertl I love it.

That's even more encouraging Paul, especially since this one is in very fine condition..
