Powder Question
« on: November 22, 2005, 11:03:23 AM »
What does everyone do when they reach the last bit of powder in their current container?

I have reached that last bit of powder of my AA3100 and just purchased a new 1 lb canister.  I have about a trickler full left in the current can and would it be ok to throw it in the new can?  Thought about putting it in the trickler on the next load session and putting the new can in the powder thrower.

Just wondering...

Thats what I do. I'll throw what little is left into a new can and shake it up good. That way if there is a slight variation in throw weight it really wont show up.   KN

Same here.  I have noticed no difference in POI when doing so.

On a larger scale, that is what the powder manufacturers do too.

They blend powder production "lots" to make one production lot as uniform and ballistically identical as the last lot or the next one.
