crosman 2240 mod
« on: November 16, 2005, 06:44:52 PM »
i am planning on running a constant air bottom line setup on a 2240 crosman pistol.  i have 2 ideas right now, and i just want to run them by y'all to see if they might fly.

1)  if the tube that holds the 12g CO2 cartridges can be pressurized (BIG if--i need to know if this is even possible), then i can simply drill and tap 1/8 pipe threads in the end cap and screw in my hose.

2)  if that chamber cannot be pressurized, i'm thinking about removing the end cap all together and drilling and tapping the end of the valve assembly to accept an 1/8" piece of brass tubing, that i will run out of the gun and to a hose.

i'm no qualified airsmith, but i have worked on constant air setups on paintball guns, and i have modified their valves.
When the whole world is crashing down around me, atleast I'll have my SKS.

thx, i checked that site.  their organization is a little lacking, but they do have some good info if you can find it.  they don't really give enough detail for the mods i'm doing, but it helps.
