Scope bases for H&R model 12
« on: November 21, 2005, 03:40:29 PM »
I am looking for a base to put a rifle scope on my Harrington & Richardson Model 12 22 Long Rifle target gun. I know I will have to have a Smith drill and tap base holes in the bull barrel. Does any one know which scope base would be the best fit? I guess a weaver type base would be Ok. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You for looking Twyman

The snith will likely use bases with simple raius contured bottoms. The diameter of which most closely matches the barrel's diameter. Flat bottom bases are available that can be milled for an even better fit..
