It has been going pretty good.  Over last year my numbers for ducks are down, but geese are up.

I have not duck hunted in a few weeks but have been spending my free time chasing geese.   Ducks are still slim pickings.  I keep watching the weather and nothing is happening to drive them south.  The geese however are here.

It was in the 70's here today.  Hard to get ducks down with this weather.

How is hunting for you?

Same old thing. Shoot the locals after the season opens and wait for a push. We have had one good weather related push of birds so far this year. Hope it is not the last.

I am just getting ready for the next push of ducks. Was out scouting for some geese this morning. Found a few. Will go back out this afternoon and give it a try.

Scored one large Canda goose last night. Weighed in at 13 pounds on my scale. Had Candas, snows, and mallards in the field. Problem was this all happened right before sunset, so I effectively had about a 10 minute hunt. Will try again this afternoon. It is quite abit colder today and maybe they will come to corn earlier. Don't want to let Specklebelly have all the fun shooting geese.
