Sportster forearm..
« on: November 25, 2005, 05:07:54 PM »
When I purchased my Sportster, it had the .22 mag standard taper barrel...then I sent off for the other two barrels .
The Hummer barrel was a heavy  type, so the forestock (synthetic)doesn't come fully up to the barrel...there is 1/8-3/32 " clearance on the forward tip. Nonetheless, the heavy barrel shoots better than the others..

My question is, can I get a forestock for this barrel...or should I sand/file the groove to fit all three, albeit the two standard tapers would have extra clearance..?

If you are worried about sanding the forearm , You may want to pick up another one to set up for the heavy brl. and keep the original one for the other 2 barrels .

You may be able to find one on the classifieds at a decent price
