Dan Wesson Model 15 357 mag
« on: October 31, 2005, 10:46:21 AM »
looked at a used one yesterday at a local sporting goods store. It is in fair-good condition, it shows a little use but not abuse. They were asking $529.00 for it. Any comments on this gun or ant suggestions. Reliability, strength, accuracy are priorities.

I posted this in Dan Wesson forum but this forum looks more active.

I have one, 8" barrel, excellent trigger. I gave $350 at a pawn shop. Very good pistol!

Reliability, strength, accuracy are exellent ont these guns.
You should be able to get one for a lot less than $529.00.

Check Gunbroker.com if you don't mind going that route.
They have one right now with a 15" barrel for $425 in mint condition.

Just my $0.02 worth.

I own 2 of these as well as several other Dan Wessons.  Great handgun, but the price is way out of line.  Check the online auction sites or other pawn shops in your area.  You should be able to pick up a good one for less than $300.  The last one I bought needed a little touch up on the blue (which I did myself for about $10), and I bought that gun for $175 at a local gunshop.

Not what I was really looking for but love it , and it was a bargain. 7 1/2" Ruger New model Super Blackhawk 44 mag in S/S. Great condition, just a few minor scratches. Barrel and cylinders very clean. $219.00 at Gander Mt.Now I can afford to accesorize it. Any suggestions on a scope for it, or should I leave it open sights?

I got a DW four barrel set 357 for $425 about 98% +  so just the gun I would think was a little high.
