Redhawk1 and other shooters of the loved old .416 Rigby cartridge have any of you tried the two new loads out by Hornady? A 400 gr. FMJ RN and a 400 gr. IB bullet load. If they sell for the right price I see a number of them in my future. Lawdog

Lawdog, I took your advice and got my CZ 550 416 Rigby in the gunsmiths shop. I am having the action glass bedded, the barrel floated and put another cross lug in.

I will keep you posted. It will be about a month or two. The gunsmith is a hunter and the season is just getting into full swing now here. But not like I need it right away, I still have my Encore in 416 Rigby, just in case a T-Rex shows up. :-D

The 416 Remington Mag. The Rigby is equal to the 416 Rem Mag. I don't know why you guys always make a big deal about this. The Rem is going for $1700.00. I don't know what the Rigby is costing now. Good shooting to ya!!

What we are doing is all in fun with crow_feather and he is well aware of that. So lighten up.

But all that being said, the 416 Rigby is a little ahead of the 416 Rem Mag. Just for the record there John.

Hey Redhawk I called Paul today and asked him about my 318 RUM, How soon he could get it done. I told him I would like it next week he said he would try. He's had it for almost 2 months.
