What can you tell me about a "Topper 44 Rem Mag"?
« on: November 24, 2005, 06:43:03 AM »
My son-in-law has inherited one of these, and I am not familiar with this one. Its ser # starts with BB. Am I correct that there should be a shotgun barrel that came with it somewhere originally since it has Topper on the barrel?

Any info would be great

Thanks

I'm kinda guessing here , But from what i'm getting from the sticky it was made between 1982 and 1994 .

Maybe Quickdtoo or one of the others will have more info .

These were available as just rifles or as combos with shotgun barrels. I've seen them in 22 Jet, 22 Hornet, 30-30, 357 Mag, 44 Mag, and 45-70. All of these Toppers were on the older style receives and had cut rifling.

The ones I've seen were excellent shooters...I wouldn't mind having one of the older ones with the cut rifling in them...they would shoot both jacketed and cast bullets extreamly well...
