Just right click the link in your browser address window, it should highlight it and choose copy, then paste it to your post by left clicking and choosing paste.

Okay, I must have something configured wrong in XP.  On my old computer this worked.  Now I get the option to "copy shortcut" not "copy".  If I paste then I get the whole link like this:

I will dig more.

The address bar is usually located just under the toolbar near the top to the IE browser screen, if you right click the address, then choose copy, you should be able to paste it elsewhere. The copy shortcut will show when clicking and active URL such as Graybeard Outdoors Forum index or NEF/H&R Centerfire Rifles just above the forum list. You might have to enable the address bar in View>Toolbars>Address Bar....unlock your toolbar first if it's locked.
