How to take apart an Uberti Stallion .22 rimfire?
« on: November 29, 2005, 11:29:18 PM »
I've got little or no experience with single action arms, but would like to give my Uberti stallion target a go.

The hammer rubs on the frame, and after a thousand rounds it still locks up somewhere around halfway, if you let the hammer drop very gently.

I was thinking of polishing up the area where the hammer rotates inbetween, but won't just unscrew the whole assembly because I haven't disassembled one before.

Where to start? the grip comes off with three screws, what to do next? the trigger guard? If I loosen the bar on which the hammer rotates, will the hammer come off easily?

Thanks in advance...
