For a long time I used various soft cases and one of the less expensive Doskocil hard sided cases (13" x 50") which would hold two guns. As I got more involved with silhouette I wanted more protection for the gun and got one of the SKB double rifle cases (50" x 9.5" x 6" weight 20 lb)where you have one gun on top of the other with foam inbetween. All was well ...and then I got a hunter gun- and started shooting a match air rifle also. While the SKB case will hold two guns- it seems the one you want is always on the bottom. So I got another case- this one a Doskocil All Weather Double Rifle case (51.5" x 12.5"). It has a middle foam piece you can cut to the outline of your guns- and can buy replacement foam at a reasonable price. All seemsed good until I actually tried to put two SILLHOUETTE rifles in. Hunting guns would have not been a problem. High scope mounts, long scopes with sunshields and target turrets were just a bit too much.
So the search has continued. I have considered the SKB quad case (50" x 14.5" x 6")- but not sure if it will have the same problem with two guns on the same level. SKB also makes the " 2SKB-5216 ATA Double Rifle Case" (52" x 16" x 6"), which is slightly larger- but comes with the cut outs already made, and it does not look like it would work with a long scope /sunshield combination.
Pelican has the 1750 (50.62"L x 13.50"W) which you can get with the foam uncut. It weights 28 lb.
What are others using and why? What are you likes/dislikes about them?
