A friend of mine has a 20 gold label and the bottom barrel shoots 8 inches below the top barrel at 20 yards , is this normal?

The GOLD LABEL is a 12GA SxS. I think you're referring to a RED LABEL which is an O/U in 12, 20, & 28GA.
