Nice Michigan Blonde!
« on: November 30, 2005, 06:55:07 AM »
Figured you guys might like to see my prize of the season. Nice big blonde coyote (42-43#) that fell to Lenon #2 coyote. The set had already taken 2 coons, a skunk, and a possum and was about the worst looking re-make of a re-make, of a remake that a guy has ever seen. How this dude survived I have no idea. Just couldn't resist the lure I guess.

:-) That is a very big and  very nice coyote! You have nice country there. I lived and worked in the upper  penninsula for a couple summers in the late eighty's. Would go back but the wife says it's to cold in the summer for her flowers.

Slow year on coyotes Mike. Only had 16 days to chase them, and felt like between the wind and rain dealt to us the early part of November that i really only had 10 good check nights. That said.....I'm still not snapping that many. I guess thats ok by me.....would rather have the fox anyway!

Not common at all Tom. First I've seen from my parts, but I do occasionaly see similar at the local fur auctions.

that yote looks to have some husky in it.  maybe?  or was it full coyote?  aside from the color,  the size leads me to think that.   hard to be sure though from the pictures.

thanks for sharing them.

I've had a real good year so far on the yotes considering the weather but I pushed it into deer season. Didn't get anything like that one though Bill. Great catch.
