No late T zone here and I am glad not many does up north here I think we shot most of them where hunting is available for all on Public and forest crop land. I have mixed feelings on the early T zone I like the time of year nicer weather ect but I hate seeing all the does being shot as I think it does make a difference after a while if done too many years in a row. I have shot my share so I am not totally against it but I think that the DNR goes over board on it. Got to be a happy medium which I think they have not hit yet. If ya got lots of does where you are great you may need it yet but I did a impromtu check of the hunting camps I know in Douglas Co and Burnett Co. and they were down on deer and deer sightings. These are all good expirienced hunters too. More bucks were shot in Douglas CO this year as that is what the hunters could find those wanting to shoot a doe in a lot of cases did not get one or even see one. When it gets like that the balance is off the other way. I talked to a game manager and he said it's tough you may have a area that has no does on state/county/forest crop land but does on private property whre guys cannot hunt them so the count gets skewed. Lots of deer in a area but off limits to hunting. So even then the T zone is useless there except for a few land owners or farmers. Also Iron River did not have a registration station this year so folks had to come to Douglas Co to register a deer shot in a other county and area so that will skew Douglas Co. Numbers too.
