Are ya shootin this weekend?????????
« on: March 07, 2003, 06:47:02 AM »
Heyya Ya'll

With the wife still workin weekends I have to be responsible, stay outta trouble, and find somethin constructive to do.  I thought about doin yard work....but I hate that.  I thought about reloadin some more cowboy ammo, but its all loaded up.  I thought about givin the dogs a bath, but they are afterall dogs, and they seem to enjoy being a bit unkempt.  Then, like being struck by lightening, it came to me.

Why not go shoot at the Cajon Cowboys match on Saturday, where they are also havin a SASS/CAS equipment swapmeet, and then shoot Sunday with the Burro Canyon Gunslingers.

I love it when a plan comes together.  I am sure my wife will appreciate the fact that I am so responsible!!  Hope you have a similar weekend coming up.  Boom-Clang!!   :D  :D  :D

Found out that the Knobcreek shoot got flooded out last Sunday and their gonna have the shoot this Sunday.  That's my day off this week end, thought I might try and get up there.  I really oughta stay home and work on loads for my sharps, I haven't started on that yet and really want to.

Good Luck with the wife!!   :-D  :-D  :-D

Yep!! Heading to a club I haven't shot with before down in Arkansas. Taking my brother-in -law with me. It will be his first experience with CAS.  Could be interesting. It's about a 3 hour drive down there. Haven't spent that much time alone with him. Just hope we don't kill each other. :)

Heyya Ya'll
Well its about 4:30 am and I am doin my usual "Can't Sleep" before a match routine.  Everything is all loaded in the truck, finally figured out  how the spurrs go on the boots, and I am drinking a cup of coffee to jump start my system.

DB,  hope you make it to the match.

Butlerford45, work up them loads another time pard,      Go enjoy yourself Sunday!  You deserve it.

JAX sounds like an interesting drive!  Hope the bro-in-law enjoys the day.  Is he shootin, or just spectating?

Good luck to all ya, and remember... BOOM-CLANG!!   :D

Well, we had a good time and met some more good people. The drive went well. Everyone was offering my brother-in-law guns to try to get him to shoot, but he did not feel he was ready. I think he made a good choice. I have only taken him to the range twice, and I don't think the match is a good place to learn safe gun handling.

He helped to spot and worked as a brass rat. After the match we went down to an open stage and I let him shoot the guns as much as he wanted.

On the drive home he kept talking about how much fun he had and how nice the people were. I think we have another convert.  Looks like I will be doing more reloading.

Heyya Jax

That is great.  Glad ya had a good time.  I agree, it does sound like you have a future SASS/CAS shooter on your hands.

I had a great time as well.  Sunshine, great range facility, the stages were very nicely designed. and the people were splendid.  Can't wait till tomorrow to do it again   :D  :D  :D

                       BOOM-CLANG

                       I like that sound!
