I don't care for the synthetic forend for that very reason, there's no way to fit it as there is with the wood forend and separate spacer. As the end of the forend wears, it's gonna get more loose all the time. Some have tried completely bedding the forend, if I were going to try it on the synthetic, I'd fill the empty forend cavity with some sort of epoxy filler like is used for auto body repair, then use Brownell's for the final bedding. To float it, some use different size O-rings, grommets, nail washers and such, along with some sanding. Use what works, no 2 rifles are the same and what works on mine may not on yours, so be flexible. :wink:
